More than 2,900 Graduate From LU


More than 2,900 students graduated May 19-20 during commencement ceremonies at Lindenwood University's Robert F. Hyland Performance Arena.

Festivities began Friday evening with a traditional baccalaureate service and graduate student commencement. Pastor David Blunt of Church on the Rock in St. Peters, MO gave an inspiring baccalaureate address. He was presented an honorary doctorate by President Dennis Spellmann.

Also on Friday evening, St. Charles, MO Mayor Patti York received the Alumni Merit Award for Professional Accomplishment. See Alumni and Friends on the Lindenwood website for more information.

Saturday morning brought the undergraduate commencement ceremony. A motivational commencement address was delivered by Robert Wildrick, president and CEO of Joseph A. Bank Clothiers. He too received an honorary doctorate.

Student speakers Saturday morning were Haley Schumacher for the traditional undergraduates and Celeste Zink for the adult student population.
