St. Louis Sports SoundOff to Debut
November 9, 2006
A lively discussion of various sports topics, featuring a group of well-known sports figures and commentators, will come to Lindenwood from 3 to 4 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 13, in the Anheuser-Busch Leadership Center, located in The Spellmann Campus Center.
The program, called St. Louis Sports SoundOff, is patterned after ESPN’s Pardon the Interruption show and will include Frank Viverito, president of the St. Louis Sports Commission; Lisa Bedian, former CBS Sports producer and current sports marketer; Tony Twist, former St. Louis Blues hockey player; and Andy Van Slyke, former St. Louis Cardinal and current coach for the American League Champion Detroit Tigers.
The panel will engage in a lively discussion of important sports issues, like sexism in sport, steroids, economic impact, sportsmanship, media roles and responsibilities, and more.
The program is a project of Lindenwood’s Sport Marketing (BSM 353) and Event Management (BA 359) classes. For more information, contact David Arns at 636-949-4789.
