Michael R. Hogan, chief administrative officer and CFO of the Sigma-Aldrich Corporation in St. Louis, will speak at Lindenwood University at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, April 4, as part of the school’s Distinguished Executive Lecture Series.
The lecture will be held in the Anheuser-Busch Leadership Room in Lindenwood’s Spellmann Campus Center; the main Lindenwood campus is at 209 S. Kingshighway in St. Charles. The title of Hogan’s lecture is “The Company ‘DNA’ of a Leader in Life Science and High Technology.” The lecture is co-hosted by the Lindenwood Division of Management and Lindenwood’s Institute for the Study of Economics and the Environment.
As a life science and high technology company, Sigma-Aldrich, based in St. Louis, is a major supplier of biochemical and organic chemical products and kits for the research, medical and pharmaceutical industries. He has been chief financial officer throughout his time there and CAO since 2000.
Prior to that, he was corporate vice president and controller at Monsanto from 1996 through 1999 and held a number of other executive and management positions at firms in Chicago and Minnesota, starting in 1980.
Hogan has also served on a number of public, private and not-for-profit boards, including Pulaski Financial Corporation, St. Louis World Trade Center, Olin School of Business National Council and Sigma-Aldrich Foundation.
