Valerie Riley, a junior at Lindenwood University, has received a national award called the NextGen Leaders Award from American Humanics, Inc. Riley, a resident of Imperial, will receive a $4,500 stipend to help cover living and educational expenses while completing an internship with the Carondelet YMCA.
