Nearly 70 community leaders and friends of Lindenwood University attended the second annual Fall Harvest Luncheon on November 18 in the Lindenwood Auditorium. Proceeds from the event will help fund the construction of Lindenwood’s new Welcome Center, which will feature a lobby area, restrooms, small café, and exhibition and reception space.
“Our restoration committee organized the luncheon as an opportunity for ladies in the Belleville area to get together and contribute to the success of the project while also enjoying great food, music, and fashion,” said Mary Radcliff, Assistant Vice President and Executive Director of Community Relations. “Everyone had a great time, and we are so appreciative of our supporters.”
Guests enjoyed lunch from Roy-el Catering, a Steinway musical performance, and a fashion show featuring clothing from Don Rogers, Ltd., and Dress Me Up boutique. Plans for the new "What’s Cooking at Lindenwood" book also were announced.
“We asked all the ladies to submit their favorite recipes so we can compile them into our first cookbook,” Radcliff said. “We will begin selling them next year and all the funds will go toward the Welcome Center project.”
To submit a recipe for consideration, please email Chad Vahlkamp at firstname.lastname@example.org.
