Large Crowd Turns out for Harmon Hall Ribbon Cutting

More than 200 people turned out for a ribboncutting/grand opening ceremony at Lindenwood University’s expanded and renovated Harmon Hall. Held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 15, the ceremony officially opened the new home of the Lindenwood School of Business and Entrepreneurship.

The ribbon cutting included speeches by Grace Harmon (after whose family the building is named), Gary Shaw, Donald Paule, and Chairman Jim J. Shoemake of the Lindenwood Board of Directors, as well as Lindenwood President James D. Evans, St. Charles County Executive Steve Ehlmann, and St. Charles Mayor Patti York.

Immediately following the ribbon cutting was an open house in the building with presentations on estate planning, the Lindenwood MBA program, and the university’s Institute for the Study of Economics and the Environment.

At the culmination of the project, completed this fall, Harmon Hall was expanded to roughly twice its former size, and the remainder of the building was completely renovated. As much as the ceremony was a celebration of the building’s opening and its new role as the home of Lindenwood’s School of Business and Entrepreneurship, it is also a celebration of the business school’s recent accreditation by the prestigious Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs.
