Lindenwood-Belleville students will have the opportunity to participate in the campus’ first-ever pep band this fall. Dr. Jeffrey Barudin, adjunct faculty member in the School of Fine and Performing Arts at Lindenwood-St. Charles, will be directing the newly created LU-Belleville Athletic Pep Band. The university intends to develop it into a marching band in the future.
“Lindenwood-Belleville is a growing campus, and we’re very excited to create this band,” said Barudin. “Our plan is to perform at all football and basketball games. We’ll eventually become a marching band but are planning on performing from the stands for this first year. Our job will be to energize the teams and the crowd and really bring the LU-Belleville spirit to the games!”
The pep band will serve as a credited course through the university, and students will receive academic credit hours for participating.
Scholarship and work-and-learn opportunities are available for qualifying students who join the pep band.
