Lindenwood University-Belleville Homecoming and Parents Weekend Oct. 5-6

October 1, 2013

The weekend of Oct. 5-6 will be bustling with activity at Lindenwood University-Belleville as the university hosts its Homecoming football game, Parents Weekend, LCIE Orientation, Admissions Open House, and alumni events for Lindenwood University alums, as well as Belleville Township High School affinity alums.

“With literally thousands of people on campus this weekend, this promises to be one of busiest weekends we’ve ever had at Lindenwood University-Belleville,” said Dr. Jerry Bladdick, Belleville Campus President. “It’s a testament to the level of growth we’ve been experiencing to see our weekends become increasingly packed with events and activities that bring in not only students and alums, but also parents, families, and newcomers to the university.”

The Homecoming football game begins at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5, at Lindenwood Stadium as the Lynx face off with the Oaks of Menlo College. This game is a “Pink-Out” game, so fans are encouraged to wear pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

At halftime, Lindenwood University-Belleville’s first three football alumni will be recognized and the Homecoming King and Queen will be crowned.

This weekend also marks the start of the fall quarter for students in the LCIE program (Lindenwood College for Individualized Education), an accelerated evening program designed for working adults. With 150 new LCIE students this quarter, the university will host approximately 600 students at its LCIE Orientation Day on Saturday.

Prospective students and their families are also among the crowds flocking to Lindenwood-Belleville on Saturday as the Admissions Office hosts an Open House for students interested in learning more about Lindenwood.

With so much going on this weekend, it’s an exciting time to be a part of the growing campus community at Lindenwood University-Belleville. Check the Student Activities schedule for a complete listing of student activities for Homecoming Week.
