Speaker is Member of WSJ Editorial Board
Lindenwood University will launch its new John W. Hammond Institute for Free Enterprise with a special event featuring a keynote address by influential economist Stephen Moore of the Wall Street Journal editorial Board.
The event will start at 3 p.m. on Sept. 26 in J. Scheidegger Center for the Arts. Other speakers include Brenda Talent, executive director of the Show-Me Institute, and Joseph Haslag, Kenneth Lay chair of economics at the University of Missouri in Columbia.
The Hammond Institute is the result of a $1 million gift from businessman and Lindenwood Board Member John W. Hammond. Divided into three centers (the Duree Center for Entrepreneurship, the Liberty and Ethics Center, and the Center for Economics and the Environment), the institute’s mission is to “foster free enterprise and civil and religious liberty through the examination of market-oriented approaches to economic and social issues.”
