06.24.2014Students May Check In Early
Lindenwood University is offering students the opportunity to check in early before the beginning of the 2014 fall semester. From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., July 1 through August 1, students can visit specific administrative offices, collect verification that all requirements have been satisfied, and become eligible to check directly into the appropriate residential facility on their designed date or attend the first day of class on Monday, August 25.

06.13.2014Anthropology Students Excavating at Blanchette Site, Boone Home
Lindenwood University’s Department of Anthropology and Archaeological Research Program has started its 2014 field season. Through the end of June, Lindenwood students and faculty will be conducting archaeological excavations at two significant archaeological sites: the Louis Blanchette homestead site at 906 S. Main in St. Charles, and at Nathan Boone’s home at the Historic Daniel Boone Home and Heritage Center (1868 Highway F, Defiance, MO).

Lindenwood University’s J. Scheidegger Center for the Arts announces its 2014-2015 season lineup, its seventh season since the $32 million performing arts center opened.

06.11.2014Fashion Design, Nonprofit Administration Programs Conducting Drive
Lindenwood’s Fashion Design Program and Nonprofit Administration faculty are jointly conducting a clothing, shoe, and housewares drive in support of the National Council of Jewish Women’s (NCJW) Resale Shop. Through June 30, they will be accepting gently used donations from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday through Thursday, in Room 1110 of the university’s J. Scheidegger Center for the Arts, at 2300 West Clay on the St. Charles campus.

Lindenwood University’s Nonprofit Administration Program was presented a Community Builder Award by the Community Council of St. Charles County at a reception on Thursday, June 5, 2014, at the school.

The Lindenwood Student Government Association (LSGA) has named Billi Patzius, PhD, the 2014 Professor of the Year.

Lindenwood University President James D. Evans, PhD, has announced his retirement effective May 31, 2015.

05.30.2014Guffey Named Vice President for Student Development, Global Affairs
Dr. Ryan Guffey, who has served as Lindenwood University’s assistant vice president for student development and special projects for the last seven years, will be promoted to the position of vice president for student development and global affairs, effective July 1. The post was formerly held by Dr. John Oldani, who retired at the end of May after serving in it for seven years.

05.30.2014Five-Year BA/MA Nonprofit Program Launching in Fall
Responding to an anticipated demand for leaders in the nonprofit field, Lindenwood University is launching in fall 2014 a combined BA/MA program in nonprofit administration. Students in the new program, which is unique in the St. Louis area, will be able to earn a bachelor’s and a master’s in just five years.

05.21.2014Lindenwood to Host Annual Summer Film, TV Camp
The Lindenwood University School of Communications will host its sixth annual Film and Television Camp this summer for high school students interested in learning production skills. Sessions are scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, June 16-20.
