| Lindenwood University will host a Youth Empowerment and Small Business Conference from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 25, in Harmon Hall on its Charles campus. The two-hour conference is in preparation for the upcoming first annual Lemonade Day in St. Charles County, a fun-filled event through which the community will join with 40 other cities across North America to promote small business and empower today’s youth to become tomorrow’s entrepreneurs. |

| More than 1,500 students took part in Lindenwood University graduate and undergraduate commencement exercises Friday, May 17, and Saturday, May 18. The total included 561 students at Friday’s Baccalaureate and Graduate Commencement and 972 at Saturday’s Undergraduate Commencement. Lindenwood conferred 1,531 bachelor’s degrees, 1,271 master’s degrees, 98 Educational Specialist degrees and 35 Doctor of Education degrees. |

| Lindenwood University’s 2012-2013 Nonprofit Professional Development Series will close in May with a grant writing seminar hosted by Julie Turner, PhD, associate professor and chair of the school’s Nonprofit Administration Department. The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21, and Wednesday, May 22, in the Memorial Arts Building’s Latzer Hall. |

| Lindenwood University has announced that General Crosbie Saint (ret.), former commander in chief of the U.S. Army in Europe, will deliver the keynote address at Undergraduate Commencement on Saturday, May 18. He is joined by Douglas Greenlaw, communications industry executive, who will speak at Baccalaureate and Graduate Commencement the night before. |

| The Lindenwood University Criminal Justice Department will host its fourth annual criminal justice institute from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 3-5. The three-day camp will take place on the St. Charles campus and will present participants age 14-18 with a wide range of activities and presentations offered by criminal justice professionals. |

| Lindenwood University will host a Student Research Symposium and Exposition from 3-7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17, in the Spellmann Campus Center’s Anheuser-Busch Leadership Room on the St. Charles campus. Faculty members will judge student projects, ranging from posters to presentations and then award cash prizes to the winning undergraduate and graduate entrants. |
