Requirements

Pre-Medicine/Pre-Veterinary Medicine/PreDentisry/Pre-Optomtry

The majority of the health professions schools expect the student to meet the following course requirements:

Subject Area Requirements
General Biology 2 Semesters
General Chemistry 2 Semesters
Organic Chemistry 2 Semesters
General Physics 2 Semesters
English 2 Semesters

In addition, students must complete an entrance test such as MCAT, GRE, DAT, or OAT.

A few health professions schools either require or strongly recommend that students take other courses in the following area of study: biochemistry, cell/molecular biology, genetics, statistics, calculus, humanities, and social science.
