We provide and extend exercise classes during the week for Lindenwood student, faculty, and staff. Classes are free of charge. No sign up is necessary. Feel free to attend as many or as few sessions as you'd like!
Current Offerings Include:
Boot Camp: Looking to improve strength and cardiovascular health? Boot Camp will be a great fit for you! This program is designed to change and challenge your body. You’ll work with our instructor to focus on cardio, core, and strength training. All fitness levels accepted, and workouts will be modified based on needs.
Zumba: Zumba is a fusion of Latin and International music/dance themes that create a dynamic and exciting workout environment. All workouts are based on the principle that a workout should be "fun and welcoming for everyone." Routines feature aerobic/fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body. Zumba is a workout that is great for both the body and the mind!
X - Fit: Strength and conditioning that combines weightlifting, sprinting, powerlifting, kettles, plyometrics, running, jump-roping, and medicine ball training.
Spinning: Spinning is for everybody, not just the elite athlete. Men and women of all ages, abilities, and fitness levels enjoy spinning. The class is a non-impact, individually paced, non-competitive, group training system designed for all riders and fitness levels. Come get your heart pumping! All fitness levels are welcome. No experience necessary; first timers welcome.
All Levels Yoga: People at all levels are invited to join these classes, including anyone who has never been on a yoga mat! Clear instruction is given on breathing techniques, warm-up, and posture. Participants will develop body awareness, posture alignment, and core strength in basic poses, while experienced participants are encouraged to explore advanced variations in familiar postures. Everyone works to his or her own ability and comfort level!
Basic Yoga: Classes are designed for the beginning student to learn the essential elements of a traditional hatha yoga practice. Teachers instruct basic postures, the core actions that support and open the body, linking movement to breath, connecting postures sequentially, and focusing attention. Students learn the consistent language used to instruct technique in the Dynamic Yoga Method. This class will emphasis proper structural alignment in preparation for "Intermediate."
Beginner's Yoga: This class will focus on the basics of yoga postures. The core actions help with opening the body and focusing on breathing techniques. Participants learn techniques and proper alignment.
Intermediate Yoga: Love the Beginner’s Yoga? Want to take a step up? Then Intermediate Yoga is here. This class will reinforce the basics and include challenging moving and static postures and sequences. This class will challenge the participants in a fun and non-competitive atmosphere.
