First Year Programs - LUL101

LUL101 is a required two-credit course for graduation that focuses on the tools necessary to become a successful college student at Lindenwood University. Academic, social, and personal development is stressed throughout the course. Topics covered include time management, study skills, critical thinking, classroom etiquette, values clarification, public speaking, test taking strategies, and Lindenwood University's history and expectations. Open dialogue between the instructor and students is an important aspect of this course.

The course is instructed by faculty and professional staff members. All first-year students must take a LUL101 course during their first semester. Transfer students who successfully completed a Freshmen Seminar course at another college are exempt from taking LUL 101.
