FYE & Welcome Week:
In addition to attending required FYE sessions, you definitely don’t want to miss out on the many fun activities we have planned throughout the first few weeks of school to familiarize new students with Lindenwood’s campus and culture and to welcome back our returning students. Past activities have included organization fairs, International Mixer, Bonfire & Acoustic Concert, Block Party, movie nights, Housing Wars, Convocation, Meet & Greek Cookout, and much more.
Homecoming Week, Reunion
& Parents’ Weekend:
Homecoming Week is filled with exciting events for students including the annual lip-syncing contest, Powder Puff football, Homecoming Concert, banner contest, Pep rally, parade, Homecoming football game, Homecoming Dance, and much more. Parents’ Weekend gives parents the opportunity to visit and tour campus and to take part in the various Homecoming events. For more information, visit www.lindenwood.edu/homecoming.
Dark Carnival is an annual event held by LURDA (Lindenwood University Resident Director Association) to commemorate the pagan tradition of Halloween and old traditions from St. Charles, everything with a modern twist. The event consists of a Haunted House that could scare even the bravest; many booths to entertain visitors that vary from face painting, to costumes, to traditional desserts; and a costume contest with a dance ball held in the Pavilion, right next the traditional creepy old ferris wheel that is available to anyone who dares to ride it.
Each year, Lindenwood University hosts its annual free Christmas Walk. The event will feature activities for all ages, including decorated buildings, refreshments, music, and an appearance by Santa Claus and his reindeer. All members of the community are encouraged to come out and enjoy the beauty of the campus and participate in these age-old holiday traditions.
Because Finals Week is a very stressful time for Lindenwood students, we offer opportunities for students to take a break from studying and also extend facility hour to accommodate students’ busy schedules. Finals Breakout and Midnight Breakfast allow students to get late night snacks on campus during peak studying hours. In addition, the library and computer labs offer extended hours for students’ studying needs.
Sibley Day is a celebration of the University’s unique educational experiences and founder Mary Sibley. Students can choose from dozens of presentations and hands-on experiences throughout the day.
Spring Fling Week:
Spring Fling Week gives students a chance to unwind before the last stretch of the spring semester. Past activities have included organization fairs, movie nights, comedians, concerts, and much more.
