On Thursday, April 16, the Illinois Department of Veterans’ Affairs (IDVA) will conduct an informational seminar on the new GI Bill and other educational benefits available for veterans at Lindenwood University’s Belleville campus.

Lindenwood University’s Social Work Program has achieved a key accreditation from the Council on Social Work Education as the culmination of a process that spanned more than four years.

School of Arts, Media, and Communications

The Lindenwood University Communications Department will host a film and television camp this summer for high school students interested in learning production skills. Freshmen and sophomores are invited to attend camp daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., June 15-19. A camp session for juniors and seniors is scheduled from June 22-26.

The Lindenwood University Theatre Program will present the satire “Comic Potential” as part of its Studio Series at 7:30 p.m. on April 23, 24, and 25 in the university’s Emerson Black Box Theater.

General, Admissions

It’s time to apply for financial aid for the 2009-10 school year! You must file the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) to qualify for grants, scholarships and student loans. Missouri residents must complete the FAFSA by April 1, 2009 to be considered for the Access Missouri Grant.

Jeffrey Milyo, Ph.D., will present his talk, “A Social Science Perspective on Media Bias,” at 3 p.m. on Thursday, April 16, as part of series hosted by Lindenwood’s Institute for the Study of Economics and the Environment.

Lindenwood University is pleased to announce its popular Million Dollar Scholarship program is available to Scott Air Force Base personnel and their dependents. The program is available for students enrolling in Lindenwood’s new daytime, semester-based program in Belleville, which starts in fall 2009, or at the main Lindenwood campus in St. Charles, Mo.
