Lindenwood Helps Bring the Band Back Together

In a move that benefits both its own students and the greater St. Louis community, Lindenwood University recently donated a large portion of its band equipment to Madison High School in Madison, Illinois.

Students returning for the fall 2020 semester will find that Lindenwood has quickly adapted to accommodate student needs presented by the COVID-19 pandemic. Integrated 360 video conferencing and the option of a new take on hybrid classes are just two more ways Lindenwood is ensuring that students and faculty have the resources necessary to move forward in a safe and effective learning environment.

Jeff Smith, professor of history at Lindenwood, published a chapter titled “Till Death Keeps Us Apart: Segregated Cemeteries and Social Values in St. Louis, Missouri” in a scholarly volume Till Death Do Us Part: American Ethnic Cemeteries as Borders Uncrossed (Jackson: University Press of Mississippi, 2020).

Lindenwood’s advertising and strategic communications students recently received a special Judge’s Citation Award: Bright Idea for the creative idea of a "reverse trade show" at the National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC). In addition, Instructor of Advertising and Public Relations Patrick Longo was named Advisor of the Year for his dedication to the competition and his team.
