While Lindenwood University’s April 18 on-campus Mane Event for admitted students was cancelled because of ongoing stay-at-home orders from the COVID-19 pandemic, the university has assembled a web-based experience so that admitted students can experience the campus and university while away.
The hub of this new set of resources is a dedicated website that includes a greeting video from Lindenwood President John Porter, as well as information about key facets of life at Lindenwood and easy links to a variety of contacts and resources should students or parents have questions and wish to connect directly. Admissions and Student Financial Services personnel continue to be available to visit remotely via video chat, phone, email, and text to support students as they navigate their college search.
The website will be updated weekly with new and creative content, including videos and webinars, as the fall 2020 semester approaches.
"While it is unfortunate we are unable to invite prospective students and their families to campus at this time, we are extremely proud of the efforts the university has already made and will continue to make to secure the safety and well-being of our campus community," said Terry Whittum, senior vice president for enrollment management and student engagement. "Our Admissions Office will continue to work tirelessly to bring a campus experience to these families in a virtual capacity as they finalize their college search. We look forward to the day we can welcome everyone back on campus."
