Information for Student Volunteers

We invite you to spend some time exploring opportunities to serve, whether for a class assignment, a student association project, an internship/practicum, or just out of general personal interest. We trust that your time at Lindenwood will be greatly enriched by your experiences!

Students, are you interested in participating in community service events?

If so, please complete the Volunteer Information Form, and you will be informed about events through your student email account.  You may also check out current opportunities by clicking on "duration," "distance," and "type" in the left menu.

Lindenwood University embraces community service as an extension of service-learning, which is a philosophy of experiential learning in which students participate in community service not only to meet the needs of the community, but also to develop their critical thinking skills, commitment to values, and skills for effective citizenship.

Community Service Transcript Designation Program: Because of Lindenwood’s commitment to community service as an extension of service-learning, remember that students like you who acquire 500 hours of qualified community service can receive a designation on your permanent academic transcript to recognize your achievement. In addition, you will receive special recognition in commencement publications and receive a service cord that you can wear at graduation.

We offer both an undergraduate and graduate degree in Nonprofit Administration.
