Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Dance

Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Dance

Earning a BFA in dance requires 81 credit hours and a minimum grade of C in the courses listed in the catalog. Candidates must audition for a specialization in Ballet, Contemporary, or Jazz Dance.

Minor in Dance

Earning a minor in dance gives students an opportunity to supplement their degree coursework with 22 credit hours of ballet, contemporary, jazz, tap, special topics, and practicum courses. If you are interested in a minor in dance, an audition is encouraged, but not required.

Minor in Dance Studio Management

Earning a minor in dance studio management will prepare students for teaching in the private sector. Pairing existing courses in health sciences, marketing, management, finance, non-profit administration, and dance pedagogy with a new Dance Studio Management course will give students a well-rounded understanding of best practices for this unique and challenging environment. This new minor will be added to the 2019-2020 university catalog. Courses included in the 20 hour Dance Studio Management minor include:
