Learn to help people with chronic disease and disability improve their lives with therapeutic exercise by getting a minor in Adapted Sport and Recreation from Lindenwood University.

Coursework for the adapted sport and recreation minor includes models and modalities of therapeutic recreation, exercise programming and prescription, and a culminating professional experience. You may also choose coursework focusing on nonprofit administration, recreation management, and psychology.

The minor in Adapted Sport and Recreation, which requires 21 credit hours of coursework, will prepare you to work with individuals of all ages with chronic disease and disability.

Coursework will often include hands-on experiences that will challenge you to apply appropriate modifications and inclusion methods.
