Earning a Degree in Fitness and Wellness Management at Lindenwood University

The bachelor of science degree in Fitness and Wellness Management at Lindenwood University requires 10 credit hours of specific general education courses and 50 credit hours within the major. Areas covered are concepts of conditioning, community health, sport and fitness administration, planning and marketing, methods of weight training, and care and prevention.

There is also an option to take the three-Year Fast Track: B.S. in Fitness and Wellness Management and shorten the amount of time it takes to get your degree.

What Can I Do with a Health Fitness and Wellness Management Degree from Lindenwood University?

In 2016-17, the United States Department of Labor reported that the employment of health and wellness educators is projected to grow 13 percent between 2014 and 2024. Additionally, a growing number of businesses are recognizing workplace wellness programs as a valuable part of their work environment.

According to the Occupational Outlook Handbook, Health Educators and Community Health Workers earned a median pay of $44,390 per year in 2016. Other potential career paths include corporate wellness coordinator, wellness/fitness manager, health promotions advisor, and health coach.
