Earning a Bachelor of Arts in Health with K-12 Teacher Certification

You have the chance to pursue teaching certification in health through the Bachelor of Arts in health education (K-12) program at Lindenwood University. The BA in health education with K-12 teaching certification requires 45 core credit hours. Topics include nutrition, human anatomy and physiology, first aid and CPR, plus many more areas that will prepare you for your certification.

Why Health?

Upon the completion of all degree requirements, a student can obtain an initial Missouri teaching license for K-12 public education settings by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE). Students can teach health education and upon passing the content exam for physical education (PE), can also be eligible to teach in the K-12 PE classroom as well. The B.A. in teaching go on to education students with the state of Missouri.
