Production & Publication

Instructor: Beth Mead

Class Type: Literary Journal Editing

Course Description: Students in this journal editing class will read, discuss, and vote on the first portion of submissions to issue 10 of The Lindenwood Review literary journal. (Fall journal editing courses will also be offered for later submissions to issue 10.) Students in this summer class will also research literary journals for eventual submission of their own work and will share a piece of original writing with the class for editor-specific feedback before submitting their work to journals. Other coursework includes proofreading accepted pieces and class discussions on topics such as cover letters and bios. To become familiar with The Lindenwood Review, visit our website. Students will receive a copy of issue 10 after it is published in the spring of 2020, and they will be listed in the book as editorial assistants. This credit can be listed in your CV/resume.

Textbook: Students will receive complimentary copies of previous issues of The Lindenwood Review for class discussion.
