The Literary Journal:
Production & Publication

Instructor: Beth Mead

Class Type: Literary Journal Editing & Publication Preparation

Course Description: Students in this journal editing class will read, discuss, and vote on final submissions to the next issue of The Lindenwood Review literary journal (which will be an online-only journal). Students will also research literary journals for submission of their own work, and they will share an excerpt from a piece of original writing with the class for editor-specific feedback before submitting their work to journals. Other coursework includes proofreading accepted pieces and class discussions on topics such as ordering pieces in the journal for thematic and aesthetic effect. To become familiar with The Lindenwood Review, visit our website. Students will be listed in the online journal as editorial assistants; this credit can be listed on your CV/resume and author bio. 

No textbook is required.
