Supplemental Information: During each spring semester, the Lindenwood University Foreign Language Department offers an exciting study abroad program in Costa Rica, an enchanting country with a rich, culturally and ethnically diverse population, as well as breathtaking geography and biodiversity. While this 15-week session is required for students majoring in Spanish, it is optional for those completing a minor in the language. In our program in Costa Rica students earn Lindenwood credits toward their specific degree requirements while gaining valuable real-life travel, language, and cultural experiences. The coursework is taught by professional Costa Rican Spanish professors and is offered in Spanish only. The student experience will be enhanced by home-stays with local families in Costa Rica to get a more complete sense of local daily life.
