Rachel DouchantRachel Douchant is a professor of philosophy, co-chair of the Lindenwood Honors College, and director of the Liberty & Ethics Center. Her research interests include Hume’s classical liberalism, the philosophy of economics, and Aristotelian virtue theory.

She is an associated scholar of the Abbeville Institute, a participant in Liberty Fund Colloquia, a reviewer for the Journal of Markets and Morality, and has been a Summer Rowley Fellow at the Mises Institute. Dr. Douchant teaches political philosophy, game theory, philosophy of law, business ethics, honors seminar, Dante and the virtues, and facilitates the course on economic federalism that accompanies the Liberty & Ethics Center’s Spring Conference.  

Dr. Douchant received her BA in Philosophy from Lindenwood University (1999) and her PhD in Philosophy from Saint Louis University (2008).
