Virtual Open RPG Night

The next Open RPG Night will be held virtually using the Roll20 platform. This year's event will be held October 20, 2020 from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m.. RPG systems offered during the event include Fifth Edition D&D, Second Edition D&D, and Basic Fantasy RPG. This list is subject to change as planning continues. Due to the Virtual format this year, participation requires registration (using the forms below).

Board Game Night

In March, the Lindenwood Library's Media and Gaming Lab will be hosting a Board Game Night in the Third Floor Atrium of the LARC. The event consists of an evening of de-stressing from semester studies playing board and card games on the third-floor Atrium of the library. A small and growing collection of student produced games will also be available for play at the event.

The event is open to all Lindenwood students, staff, and faculty. Food and drinks will be provided.

NOTE: This even may become a virtual event, depending on progression of the current pandemic. Updates will be forthcoming.

Adobe Certification Presentation

Lindenwood University offers certification in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Premier Pro Adobe software. Each academic year, Michael Fetters and Erica Blum present on the current program, which includes current offerings, new additions and insight into the process of becoming certified. 

Past Workshops

Illustrator 101: The Basics -- The workshop focuses on the basic tools and techniques to use Adobe Illustrator.

InDesign 101: The Basics -- The workshop focuses on the basic tools and techniques to use Adobe Indesign. 

Photoshop 101: The Basics -- The workshop is a one-hour workshop that provides a basic level introduction to Photoshop, including file creation, common tool basics, and output options. The workshop aims to familiarize students who have never worked with Photoshop before. Staff and faculty are welcome to attend as well.

Photoshop 102: The Basics -- The workshop is a one-hour workshop that provides a basic level introduction to Photoshop. This workshop builds on the foundation established in Photoshop 101: The Basics, including additional common tool basics, workflow and output options. The workshop aims to familiarize students who have never worked with Photoshop before. Staff and faculty are welcome to attend as well.

Open RPG Night

The Lindenwood Library's Media and Gaming Lab will be hosting an Open RPG event. At the event, students and faculty will gather in the evening to partake in playing one of many pen and paper roleplaying games, consisting of groups of roughly 6 to 8 people per table session. Signups for this event will be announced at the beginning of the semester for the event, typically the fall semester.

The Open RPG Night typically takes place in October at the LARC Third Floor Atrium. Refreshments are provided. A free dice set will be given away to each participant. Signup is required. See the Current Events listing for more information and to register for the event.
