Course Description

Open to writers working in all forms, genres and categories, this workshop is focused on the hard work of cultivating perseverance, accountability and productivity in our writing lives. Just as serious athletes review video recordings of their performance in order to track training progress and improve technique, serious writers also benefit from recording and observing current writing habits in order to refine our processes and achieve success. In this workshop, each student will establish specific, individualized writing objectives for the duration of the course. Progress will be tracked and shared via regular readings, discussions, and journals. Both individually and as a group, we will learn how to most effectively customize our own writing routines by discovering what does and doesn’t work for our current life circumstances and overarching writing goals.
