Course Description

This course will look at the literature of first loves of all kinds (romantic, familial, friendship) as well as first losses (death, heartbreak, moving) to consider how storytelling surrounding such “firsts,” seems endless territory for authors across time. Readings will be across genre, and student work can also include nonfiction, fiction (of all types), and poetry.

[Fall 2022 course: Students may join this on campus course from anywhere via web-conferencing technology.]
