Course Description

This course will explore how Young Adult fiction has become known for its ability to blur conventional genres of sci-fi, fantasy, romance, literary fiction, horror, etc. and consider how a study of these genre-bending texts can instruct us in our own writing. Students will read several contemporary texts as well as try their hand and writing their own genre-blurring story.
