NOTE: It is fine to take one, two, three, or all four of these classes, and any of the four course numbers may be taken in any order (for example, it is fine to take II without taking I). By offering multiple workshop course numbers, it allows students to write additional workshop pieces for feedback in multiple terms with this instructor and in this course setting.

Course Description

These workshop courses offer multiple opportunities for students to continue writing and receiving feedback on their original poetry written during the program. Students may take one, two, three, or all four of these classes; they can be taken in any order and are not consecutive.

Each course is an intensive poetry writing workshop, with different focused writing prompts, in which each student will produce original work and submit it to the class for analysis, close reading, line editing, discussion of theme and content, and suggestions for revision. Students will have the chance to submit several poems and receive critical feedback in each course.
