Dr. Paige Mettler-Cherry has been named dean of academics at Lindenwood University-Belleville; she previously served as an associate professor of biology and chair of the Biology Department at Lindenwood's St. Charles, Mo., campus.

Dr. Angela Nunley, a professional counselor and academician with nearly 20 years experience, has been named Dean of Students at Lindenwood University-Belleville.

Lindenwood University has been singled out for recognition in the “Great Colleges to Work For” program conducted by the Chronicle for Higher Education. The results of the study were released July 26, 2010, in the Chronicle’s third annual report on “The Academic Workplace” and were derived from a survey of more than 42,000 employees at 277 colleges and universities in the United States.

Lindenwood University will hold its annual Commencement exercises Friday and Saturday, May 14 and 15, at the Family Arena in St. Charles. St. Louis Mayor Francis Slay will be the keynote speaker at the May 15 Commencement ceremony, while David Steward, founder and chairman of the board of World Wide Technology in St. Louis, will deliver the Baccalaureate address on Friday evening.
