During Spring Break 2018, Director of Student Life and Leadership Michelle Sanford led a team of Lindenwood University-Belleville students, who were willing to trade in their free time for shovels, boots, and horse brushes, to Longmeadow Rescue Ranch in Union, Mo. to perform volunteer work. Longmeadow is a division of the Humane Society of Missouri that houses adoptable farm animals like horses, pigs, and even llamas.
The Office of Student Life and Leadership at Lindenwood University-Belleville recently hosted its inaugural Community and Campus Day of Service, where more than 70 students and staff worked throughout the Belleville area to assist with yard cleanup and general maintenance and to foster a sense of civic responsibility.
The Lindenwood University-Belleville Athletics Department hired Joe Lippert, a former collegiate rugby player from Wisconsin, to be the head coach for the men's rugby team for the 2017-18 season. In his first season, Lippert coached the Lynx to a second-place finish at the biggest collegiate rugby tournament in the United States, the Las Vegas Invitational.

Lindenwood University-Belleville hired Ksenia Gromova this past offseason as head coach of the men and women’s swimming and diving teams, propelling the Lynx for the 2017-18 season.
Terranova joined the Lindenwood staff in May 2016. Alongside taking on the role of campus librarian, she has spent her time at Lindenwood University-Belleville preparing criminal justice students for mock trial, judging symposiums and essay contests, and preparing students to join the workforce.

Dr. Cindy Manjounes, Lindenwood University-Belleville campus dean for the accelerated degree programs, recently was invited to serve as a new member of the 2018 Board of Examiners for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award.
The Lindenwood University-Belleville swimming and diving team traveled to Columbus, Ga., recently to compete for the NAIA National Championship, where the men finished fourth out of 18 teams while the women finished ninth out of 21 teams.
