When you major in sport management, you’ll take business classes in economics, marketing, and finance, giving you a firm business background that you can apply anywhere. Other courses will be more specific to the sports industry, such as sport marketing and promotion, event management, sportscasting, physiology of exercise, and history of American sports.

A minor in sport management requires 27 credit hours and includes areas of study such as financial accounting, management, marketing, and sport law.

The bachelor’s degree in sport management opens up a wide array of job opportunities in areas such as sales of sport and sport-related products, event management, facility management, intercollegiate athletics, youth and high school sports, professional sports, sport marketing, and many more.
