John has served as the Director of Public Safety and Security since 2012. Prior to joining Lindenwood University, John served as a police officer for 29 years. During his career, John has served as an investigator and supervisor on the Greater St. Louis Major Case Squad and served as a DARE and school resource officer. John believes in building positive campus partners to reducing crime on campus. While at Lindenwood, John has started the 4 E’s active shooter training and Dorm Watch programs to educate students on bystander intervention, sexual assaults and other safety topics. John has earned a B.S. and M.S. in Criminal Justice Administration and an M.S. in Human Resource Management from Lindenwood University John is a Missouri POST generalist instructor and is an instructor at the Eastern Missouri Police Academy. John is a member of the Missouri Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators, serving on the Board of Directors.
In August 2018, Christine proudly accepted the duties as the Clery Compliance Coordinator at the Belleville Campus ensuring the institution’s compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Lindenwood's Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and associated regulations. Previous to joining the Belleville staff, Christine admirably served at the historic St. Charles campus as a Public Safety Officer since 2016. She is certified as an official Crisis Intervention Team member (CIT) and has worked collaboratively as an authorized investigator on Title IX cases. Christine received her B.S. in Human Resource Management from Lindenwood University in 2019, and is currently working towards her M.S.A. with an specific emphasis in Project Management.
John Kamm assumed the duties of Assistant Director of Public Safety and Security at Lindenwood University-Belleville in January of 2019. Prior to joining Lindenwood he spent 26 years in municipal law enforcement retiring from the East Peoria Police Department as Administrative/Operations Sergeant. During his tenure in law enforcement he supervised training for all levels of use of force, tactics and officer safety, conflict de-escalation and provided sexual assault prevention training throughout the Central Illinois area in conjunction with the Center for Prevention of Abuse. He is a certified law enforcement instructor and is currently an Adjunct Faculty member at the University of Illinois Police Training Institute. He worked with the Heart of Illinois Critical Incident Stress Management Team providing support for first responders affected by critical incidents. John received his B.A from Western Illinois University and is currently working toward his M.S.A. He is a member of the FBI-Law Enforcement Executive Development Association and the International Critical Incident Stress Management Foundation.
