Lindenwood Magazine - Spring 2021

3 SPRING 2021 EDITION THE LINDENWOOD Giving to Lindenwood is important to me because somebody’s given before me so I was able to attend Lindenwood, and I want to give another individual that same opportunity. REAL EXPERIENCE. REAL SUCCESS. JEANINE (BUTTS) WEBSTER ’72 Member of the Butler Society Jeanine Webster is a 1972 graduate of Lindenwood College, where she majored in philosophy. When looking at colleges, she found Lindenwood attractive because of the personal touch during her visit and the financial awards, which included scholarships and a campus job at the library. Having moved often in her youth, Jeanine was happy to settle into campus life at Lindenwood. As a student, she enjoyed working the last shift at the library, which was busy at all times of the day. Some of her favorite experiences as a student were musical guests on campus, including the Jackson Five and The Carpenters, and spending time in the billiards club on the lower level of Cobbs Hall. Lindenwood was a great place for Jeanine at a time when the nation faced many turbulent issues. The professors promoted diverse ideas, and she enjoyed being a leader on campus, both as a student and later as an alumna. “Giving to Lindenwood is important to me because somebody’s given before me so I was able to attend Lindenwood, and I want to give another individual that same opportunity,” she shared. Jeanine became a Butler Society member this year by reaching the cumulative giving level of $25,000. In addition to her financial support of Lindenwood, Jeanine gives her time and talent too. She previously served as the President of the Alumni Board and the alumni representative on the Board of Directors. Jeanine currently lives in Florida and is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Certified Wealth Strategist (CWS), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), and Vice President of Wealth Management for UBS.
