JASON COOMER Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Bax took home the OVC Freshman of the Year award after breaking the Lindenwood freshman kills record with 329 kills. Lindenwood women’s basketball had quite the turn-around season in 2024-25. Led by second-year head coach Amy Eagan, the Lions went from 7-21 a season ago to 21-10 on their way to an OVC Championship berth. Eagan became the third head coach at Lindenwood to win OVC Coach of the Year while coaching All-OVC First Team Selection Ellie Brueggemann and All-OVC Second Team member Brooke Coffey. LU also earned an automatic berth to the WNIT Postseason Tournament this spring. A first-round victory was clinched at home in Hyland Arena before the Lions hit the road. The team secured a victory in the second round in Texas and made it to the Super 16 where they wrapped up a historic season. Earlier this year, Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Jason Coomer announced that Lindenwood would be officially notifying the NCAA of our intention to participate in the expedited process to exit the reclassification process one year early. Lindenwood will be notified by the NCAA of their decision August 1, 2025. ampions LINDENWOOD ATHLETICS
