Lindenwood Magazine - Spring 2025

26 SPRING 2025 EDITION THE LINDENWOOD THE GIVING COMMUNITY GROWTH Future LIVING OUR CORE VALUES: WE DO WHAT IS RIGHT We work hard and hold ourselves accountable for our decisions, actions, and words. DR. GABRIELA ROMERO Professor, Spanish Dr. Gabriela Romero ensures that the members and programs in her department follow best practices and act with integrity and diligence to best serve their students. She has provided leadership on a recent English program review, for example, that helped faculty gain a broader perspective of their service to the University and its students. PAULA STEWART Title IX Coordinator Paula’s job is one that is behind the scenes but is essential to creating a safe, welcoming environment for our students. She has to investigate issues that are personal and highly sensitive. Despite them being hard to discuss, Paula works hard to make people feel comfortable, creating a sense of trust. She is committed to doing her job to the best of her abilities and focuses on finding the truth. Essentially, she does what is right and doesn’t let the complexities of the issue or problem impact her. This type of work isn’t often recognized publicly for obvious reasons, but it is important and meaningful. ERIC BLIGGENSTORFER Financial Aid Advisor Eric lives out the value of doing what is right in his daily working routine. With his calm demeanor, attention to detail, and his willingness to make sure the student is getting what they need while at the same time ensuring the right things are given are correct and accurate. He walks students through processes, step by step, to make sure they understand every aspect of the complexity of financial aid and never loses patience- not because it is his job, but because, “we do what is right.” Thrive DO WHAT’S RIGHT
