Lindenwood Magazine - Spring 2025
4 SPRING 2025 EDITION THE LINDENWOOD PRESIDENT Letter from the Dear friends, As we reflect on the past school year and look toward the future, one value stands out: the power of thriving together. Our collective success over 192 years is a testament to our community, where each member contributes to a shared vision of excellence. Thriving together is deeply embedded in our mission and is a cornerstone of our success. Our vast network of supporters, alumni, and friends is a testament to this value. This past year, Lindenwood received over 3,000 gifts from over 1,800 donors, which speaks volumes about the growing confidence in our mission. We continue to rally our alumni and friends around Butler Library, as we strive toward refurbishing this beautiful building for our campus and community to enjoy. We demonstrate our commitment to our neighbors in the St. Charles Community by participating in local events and initiatives. We’ve also expanded our presence in the St. Louis through partnerships and collaborations with the St. Louis Cardinals, World Wide Technology Raceway, and the St. Louis Blues. LindenGiving continues to be a shining example of our commitment to service. This past February, the committee brought joy to our neighbors at Cedarhurst Senior Living with a special Valentine’s event featuring handmade cards, treats, and a musical performance by our very own Lions. While these are just a few examples of how we thrive together, Lindenwood can only be successful with the support of our friends and neighbors. Together, my wife Beverly and I invite you to stay connected with Lindenwood and each other, as we take on this rapidly changing world together. Ever grateful for your friendship and support, JOHN R. PORTER, ED.D. President, Lindenwood University
