For generations, Butler Library has stood as the heart of our campus. It is a place where curiosity was sparked, friendships were formed, and lifelong learning began. More than a building, Butler Library has been a gathering place for students, faculty, alumni, and community members alike. Its walls hold countless stories of late-night study sessions, collaborative projects, and moments that defined the academic journey for so many. As the needs of our students and community evolve, so too must the spaces that support them. Transforming Butler Library will honor the legacy of the library while creating a modern, welcoming environment designed to inspire learning and collaboration. The renovation will introduce enhanced amenities for students and the broader community, including updated study spaces, technology-rich environments, flexible gathering areas, and resources that support lifelong learning. Butler Library will once again serve as a vibrant hub that strengthens the town- and-gown connection. Several naming opportunities remain available for those who wish to play a meaningful role in bringing the space back to life. He went the extra mile to find their class schedule, and take it to the student in class to make sure the wallet was returned. She gave me a full tutorial, ideas & solutions, and was available the first night to make sure everything launched properly! She wears a smile and displays a great attitude at all times which is a true bonus.” “I was in need of helping to carry and transport a heavy LED video poster to prep for a meeting. Not only did Athletic Compliance and Community Service Coordinator Griffin Manning help me carry the poster but loaded it into his own car and drove me to my destination and assisted with set-up. Truly going above and beyond.” “The student leaders of the Lindenwood Cinema Association wanted to kick off the new academic year with an event and Senior Professor of Cinema Arts Ben Scholle went out of his way to make it special. He worked with the students to choose a date and location, then spearheaded efforts to make sure food was plentiful. He even assumed the role of grillmaster to ensure everything was handled safely. The event turned out to be a great success.” “A huge shout-out to Application and Retention Technology Specialist Clayton Janvrin ! When one of our students hit a roadblock getting his transcript to LU, Clayton didn’t hesitate. Within less than 24 hours, he contacted the high school, processed the transcript, and removed the registration hold, ensuring the student could register for spring courses. This is exceptional, student-first service in action!”
