Sociology - Student Research Conference

Sociology majors have and continue to engage in undergraduate research in areas that are of interest to both the sociology faculty and the students.  Recent undergraduate sociology research projects have investigated sexual identity development in college, the relationship between sociological skills and those needed to work in higher education, how to increase non-profit board engagement and attendance at non-profit organization events, the relationship between urban design and the quality of life, and the causes and consequences in the ideological shift in pet ownership.  Students who are interested in engaging in research should see Dr. Suzanne Stoelting and register for SOC 40000:  Undergraduate Research (3 credits).
