The value of a Lindenwood University education has been recognized by Colleges of Distinction in its 2026-2027 list of best affordable colleges. The recognition comes as the result of a thorough review of true cost to students, support for lower-income families, and the outcomes that follow graduation.
“The institutions we recognize as Affordable aren’t cutting corners,” said Tyson Schritter, the chief operating officer at Colleges of Distinction. “They’ve made a deliberate institutional commitment to ensuring that a student’s financial background doesn’t limit the quality of their education. Lindenwood University stands as proof that high value and low cost can coexist.”
Lindenwood’s selection is based on the following criteria:
- Low net price relative to student household income.
- Strong financial support for Pell Grant recipients and other aid-eligible students across income brackets.
- Low median debt among graduates.
- Positive career earnings compared to peer institutions.
- Accessibility across socioeconomic backgrounds, with intentional structures that reduce barriers to enrollment and completion.
Meeting these criteria shows Lindenwood’s commitment to student success from admission through graduation. “Affordability isn’t just a price tag,” said Senior Vice President for Strategic Enrollment Management and Marketing Dr. Aggie Hanni. “It’s a promise that the investment a family makes in a Lindenwood education will pay off.”
Hanni added that this recognition is a result of the work that staff members do throughout students’ Lindenwood experience. “This recognition reflects what our Student Financial Services team does every day: helping students find a clear, manageable path to a degree and to the careers that follow it,” Hanni said. “We want every student to graduate ready for what’s next, not weighed down by what it cost to get there.”
Assistant Vice President for Student Financial Services Joanne Rozborski said the award reflects the University’s mission. “We are proud to be recognized as a College of Distinction for Affordability,” Rozborski said. “This recognition underscores Lindenwood’s student-first mission and our ongoing commitment to providing access to a high-quality education that combines academic excellence with strong value. By prioritizing affordability, we support students in achieving their goals and aspirations.”
