Lindenwood University is approved to offer Education and certain Health Science programs that lead to certification in Missouri. Although we monitor licensure/certification laws in each state, state requirements are subject to change quickly and at short notice.

For this reason, if you are interested in certification outside of Missouri, we encourage you to contact the respective state licensing board to confirm their requirements prior to beginning and throughout the duration of your program of study.

State Licensure and Certification

To comply with applicable federal requirements, Lindenwood University has completed an initial review of its programs against professional licensure educational requirements in relevant U.S. states and territories and has issued related determinations. Because professional licensure and certification requirements differ by jurisdiction and may change over time, students enrolled in programs intended to lead to licensure or certification – such as behavior analysis, counseling, education, and similar fields – should contact the appropriate licensing or certifying authority in the state where they intend to reside or practice before beginning the program. This step helps students confirm that the program’s educational preparation aligns with that jurisdiction’s current requirements.
