Community Leader Elisa Bender Receives the Alumni Service Award
Elisa Bender ’98’s path to the Alumni Service Award is rooted in a lifetime of commitment to culture and community. She grew up in Florissant, where dance connected her to her family’s heritage and introduced her to the power of bringing people together. Those early experiences shaped the way she serves others today and continue to guide the work that has made her a respected leader in the community.
Stacee Gilmore wins Heart of a Lion Award
From t-shirts at campus events to branded apparel seen across St. Charles, the Lindenwood community is familiar with Stacee Gilmore’s work. As founder of Promotions Pronto, a promotional merchandise company, Gilmore has spent more than 20 years supporting local organizations and giving back to the community. That commitment earned her this year’s Heart of a Lion Award.
LindenGiving Brings Thanksgiving Meals to St. Charles Families
Lindenwood University’s community outreach initiative, LindenGiving has once again partnered with OASIS Food Pantry and Schnucks to provide Thanksgiving meals to families across St. Charles. This year marks the sixth consecutive year of the partnership, continuing LindenGiving’s commitment to the university values of thriving together and doing what is right.
Lindenwood Named College of Distinction for Military Support
Lindenwood University has been recognized by Colleges of Distinction for its commitment to serving veterans and active-duty students. Awarded by Colleges of Distinction, this honor highlights Lindenwood’s building of a campus environment where military-affiliated students can thrive both personally and professionally. Lindenwood was the only university in Missouri to receive such recognition.

Lindenwood University’s annual Halloween tradition returns to campus Friday, October 17, from 5– 9 p.m. Dark Carnival will transform the heritage side of campus into a celebration of the Lindenwood spirit.

Lindenwood University has been recognized as the Best College/University in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch's 2025 STL Headliner awards. The award was presented in a September ceremony at the Ritz-Carlton St. Louis that featured some of the region’s most notable organizations and community leaders.

Ribbon Cutting Marks New Era for Nursing
On September 4, four years after the University announced plans for a nursing program, Lindenwood celebrated the grand opening and ribbon cutting for its new Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. More than 100 supporters, Lindenwood employees, and regional partners joined the inaugural class of BSN students for the occasion.
