2021 Staff Recognition Awards

Lindenwood University honored staff members on Thursday in a ceremony celebrating the extraordinary professional contributions of colleagues across campus. In addition to recognizing employees for their years of service and celebrating professional retirements, seven staff members received special recognition.

Real Experience. Real Success. Award

Matthew Kertzman, office manager in the School of Education, significantly impacted his department throughout the previous year. He has maintained a high level of productivity and consistent quality of work and demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities.

Rookie of the Year Award

Evie Ward, area coordinator, is recognized for an outstanding first year of service to Lindenwood. Demonstrating excellence in overall job performance and providing significant contributions to the department, Ward showed a willingness to assist beyond normal expectations.

Lindenwood Staff Service Award

This year, Lindenwood recognized two recipients of the staff service award, each exhibiting the highest level of service to, and promotion of, Lindenwood University. Kristen Norwood, director of faculty development, and Lisa Jacob, student advisor, were each honored with the award.

Behind the Scenes Award

Mary Stacy-Brewer, associate registrar, works in a position that does not directly interact with students but serves a vital role in supporting the University. Stacy-Brewer fully demonstrates the mission of Lindenwood University and provides excellent service through significant contributions to her department.

Student G.E.M. Award (Going the Extra Mile)

Skylar Brennan, area coordinator, was recognized for their ongoing commitment to providing expert service to Lindenwood students and demonstrating initiative and creativity. This award recipient was selected by Lindenwood University students and is a reflection of Brennan’s exceptional and continuous improvement in student service.
