Dr. Amanda Price Receives President’s Distinguished Service Award

Dr. John R. Porter presented the President's Distinguished Service Award to Associate Vice President of Human Resources Dr. Amanda Price. Porter said, "the President's Distinguished Service Award is given on rare occasions when a member of the Lindenwood community provides the highest level of service related to our values."

A three-time graduate of Lindenwood, Price has served the University for 17 years. "She demonstrates the professional courage and tenacity to do what is right even in the face of strong headwinds. Her passion and dedication continue to be a model for us all," Porter said.

Price was commended for leading the Dorsey College Workday transition and the NCAA Self-Study Report. Both major initiatives were added to her daily responsibilities.

Price's commitment to Lindenwood's values comes as no surprise as she served as a facilitator on the team that created the Values in Practice in 2023. Co-facilitator Dr. Brittany Brown said, "her involvement was particularly influential in the development of the 'we have grit' value. She played a key role in articulating its meaning and consistently demonstrates that principle through her perseverance and dedication in her 17 years at Lindenwood."

In winning the award, Price was ready to share the praise, fully embodying the We Thrive Together value. "Receiving the President's Distinguished Service Award was an unexpected and deeply appreciated honor," Price said. "Success is never the work of one person; it's made possible by the dedication and collaboration of many. Our accomplishments this past year reflect the power of living our shared values: thriving together and persevering with grit."
