The Student Financial Services office will maximize your eligibility and originate your Federal Direct student loan(s) once your financial aid award is complete. After the funds are received, from the Department of Education, the loan(s) will be credited toward your tuition in your student billing account. If you would like to reduce or cancel one or more of your federal student loans please submit a completed loan change form, for the appropriate academic year, to the Student Financial Services office. Please include the amount you would like to keep in the appropriate Semester/Quarter/Term box.
The processing of a loan change form will begin once the completed form is received and reviewed by the Student Financial Services office. After your loan change request has been made a revised financial aid award will be mailed to you and the requested changes will be visible from within your student portal. If your financial aid award letter is accurate, and you do not wish to make any changes, you do not need to submit a loan change form.
