About the Gallery

The Boyle Family Gallery creates a place for contemplation, education, and the interpretation of contemporary art and culture. Gallery exhibits highlight artwork that is visually and conceptually significant, while enhancing the mission of the Art, Design, and Media Department at Lindenwood University. Through its thought-provoking programming, the gallery provides insights into artists working today and an informed perspective on how contemporary art enlightens our evolving understanding of traditional art forms.

We are dedicated to educating and engaging students, the local community and a diverse regional audience by highlighting outstanding examples of visual culture and promoting a life-long appreciation of the arts.

Recent exhibitions include Contemporary Fiber Arts and solo exhibitions by painter Edward Boccia and sculptors Greg Edmondson and Joan Hall.

Current Exhibition

This group exhibition features work by artists affiliated with the Foundry Art Centre. The exhibition highlights a range of contemporary practices and approaches.

Past Exhibitions

Catherine Leberg (Spring 2026)

This exhibition will present a body of mixed-media work with a focus on sculptural ceramic forms. Her pieces function as installations and interactive objects that invite viewers to build empathy, shift perspective, and reflect on the ecological futures we can collectively make possible. The exhibition will be on view during regular gallery hours.

The Fall 2025 Capstone Exhibition features the culminating projects of graduating seniors in Art & Design. This exhibition highlights the creativity, skill, and professional development of Lindenwood’s BFA candidates as they present their final bodies of work to the public.
