Lindenwood K-12 Professional Development and Continuing Education in cooperation with school districts, select educational agencies, and recognized experts in their field, provides graduate credit opportunities for K-12 Educators and Counselors in a flexible manner and at an affordable price. Lindenwood recognizes approved, district-driven professional development and professional development delivered by regional professional development centers, educational associations, educational experts and related educational organizations.

Graduate credit hours earned through K-12 professional development courses and workshops are not transferrable into a degree program at Lindenwood. However, these hours are generally used to meet school district requirements for professional development (plus hours) and state licensure renewal requirements. Check with your individual school district, state board, or institution for applicability. Graduate credits are nonrefundable.

Lindenwood accepts 9 graduate credits earned through LETRS as electives into MA in Education, Curriculum and Instruction.

  • Summer 2026: May 18, 2026 – August 9, 2026
  • Fall 2026: August 24, 2026 – December 11, 2026
  • Spring 2027: January 11, 2027 – May 7, 2027
  • Summer 2027: May 17, 2027- August 8, 2027


Academic Terms for K-12 Educators and Counselors: Students are encouraged to register for graduate credit well before the semester ends. Courses available in one semester may not be available in the next, unless they are rolling courses like ASCA, LETRS, and Credit4Teachers. 

Note: To avoid transcript delays, we encourage you to register with Lindenwood at least one month prior to course completion. If the course or grade is missing on the unofficial transcript after you register and paid, it means your grade transfer is currently underway.

  • Fall 2025: August 25, 2025 – December 12, 2025
  • Spring 2026: January 12, 2026 – May 8, 2026
  • Summer 2026: May 18, 2025 – August 9, 2026
