Frequently Asked Questions

To create a Qualtrics account, email [email protected] using the subject line “Qualtrics Account Creation” and include the following information:

  • First and Last Name
  • Lindenwood email address
  • Justification for account creation (Faculty sponsor, course, IRB approval, etc.)

LU Qualtrics administrators will not be able to process request for new accounts without this information.

Your Lindenwood email address is your login. You will receive a password reset email for the account so that you can create your own password. It will likely show up in your “junk mail” folder. The link will expire so update your password as soon as possible.

You can access some very good Qualtrics tutorials once you log in by clicking in the upper right corner. Look for “Help and Feedback”.

For research and IRB-related questions please contact the Institutional Review Board Office.

IRB review timelines vary based on the level of review required, the completeness of the submission, reviewer availability, and how quickly researchers respond to requested revisions. As a general guide, exempt reviews often take about 1–3 weeks, expedited reviews often take about 2–4 weeks, and full board reviews often take about 4–8 weeks from submission to final determination. These ranges are consistent with general university IRB turnaround estimates, though some applications may move more quickly or take longer depending on the complexity of the study and the number of revisions needed.

The full board meets on the first and third Friday of each month during the regular academic year. Studies requiring full board review must be submitted with enough time for administrative pre-review, requested revisions, and placement on a meeting agenda.

During the summer, review timelines may be longer because IRB staffing and reviewer availability are extremely limited. Full board meetings may be held ad hoc during the summer as needed and as member availability allows.
